Canada has fallen three places to 48th in the current FIFA world rankings following its CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final defeat by Jamaica.

The Reggae Boyz remained in 55th place after winning the home-and-away series on away goals after a 3-2 comeback win on November 21 in Toronto ended the series 4-4.

It is the lowest ranking for the Canadian men, sandwiched between Greece and Venezuela, since they finished 53rd in December 2022.

World champion Argentina remained number 1 ahead of France. But Brazil fell two places to No. 5 after two losses to Colombia and Argentina (No. 15).

England and Belgium each rose one step to 3rd and 4th place. The Netherlands climbed one place to 6th place, relegating Portugal to November 7th. Spain, Italy and Croatia rounded out the top 10.

Just outside the top 10, Uruguay rose four places to 11th, while CONCACAF leaders USA fell one notch to 12th. Mexico slipped two places to 14th, behind Morocco.

Canada remains fourth in CONCACAF, which covers North and Central America and the Caribbean, behind the United States, Mexico and No. 41 Panama, which was the only team in the top five not to lose ground in the region. Costa Rica fell six places to 52nd.

The Comoros were the biggest risers, jumping nine places to 119th, their highest ever ranking, after wins over the Central African Republic and Ghana. Kosovo (101st place, up four) also reached an all-time high.

Guinea-Bissau (No. 103, up seven), Azerbaijan (No. 114, up six), Libya (No. 120, up six), Malaysia (No. 130, up seven) and Rwanda (No. 133, up seven). ). ) were the other big risers in the November ranking.

Others moving in the right direction were Tunisia (No. 28, up four), Ecuador (No. 32, up four), Romania (No. 43, up five), Slovakia (No. 45, up five). ) and Greece (No. 47, up four).

Samoa (No. 187), American Samoa (No. 188) and Tonga (No. 196) re-entered the rankings after months of inactivity.

Peru (No. 35) and Gambia (No. 126) each fell nine places.

According to FIFA, 118 games were played in November.
