A judge at the Supreme Court of Justice in Vancouver, Canada, has released General Eduardo León Trauwitz, after posting a bond of 20,000 Canadian dollars.
According to the newspaper Milenio, the judge ordered that an electronic bracelet be placed on him, so he must stay at home.
Similarly, the measures put in place by the Canadian authorities indicate that you can leave your home from 06:00 to 23:00.
However, the judge ordered the withdrawal of his passport and he must report weekly to his release manager, in addition to communicating by telephone with the Canadian court.
Trauwitz was arrested on November 17 in Canada, for his possible responsibility in the crime of fuel theft or “huachicoleo” within Pemex, in Mexico.

FGR investigations indicate that León Trauwitz and other soldiers, who were in charge of monitoring the Pemex pipelines, were in collusion with criminal and criminal groups dedicated to the huachicoleo.
Trauwitz remained in Panama as a military attaché, but in February he was asked to return to Mexico as part of the investigation into the fuel theft at Pemex. He was then in Canada.
