Young Atlantics Program – Atlantic Bridge eV

by Edie Jenkins

Each year, the Young Atlantics program brings together young Canadians and Germans to discuss current and future challenges on both sides of the Atlantic.

Every year, ten young professionals from Canada and Germany come together at the German-Canadian Conference as part of the Young Atlantics program. The program offers a small group of young Canadians and Germans the opportunity to exchange ideas on current and future challenges on both sides of the Atlantic and create lasting transatlantic connections.

The Young Atlantics exchange ideas with representatives from politics, science and society and lay the foundations for the next generation of the German-Canadian transatlantic partnership.

2024 in Berlin

From May 11 to 15, 2024, participants from Canada and Germany, aged 28 to 35, will meet again for five days to exchange and address current and future challenges on both sides of the Atlantic. Additionally, the delegation will participate in the major German-Canadian conference, which will take place in Berlin on May 12-13, 2024. Topics covered include security policy and changing geopolitical realities, energy and the environment, as well as the influence of technology on politics, economics and society.

The initiative, launched in 2019, is funded by the Canadian Embassy in Germany and the German Embassy in Canada and is jointly led by Atlantic Bridge and Atlantic Bridge Canada.
