Recall that Djokovic was detained at Melbourne airport because of an abusive visa: when entering Australia, a Serb only had a medical vaccination exemption certificate. The Serb is still in quarantine, and the question of his deportation is being decided.

Relatives of Djokovic said the tennis player was being held in a hotel under inappropriate conditions. Vucic added that Serbia is doing everything to improve Djokovic’s conditions pending the expulsion decisions.

“It is unfair that there is such a political pursuit by the Australian Prime Minister. They allowed entry to all tennis players, but not Novak Djokovic. I am afraid that this political provocation will continue, because they will not be able to defeat him in any other way, ”quotes Telegraf Vucic.

The decision on the possible deportation of Jokokvich will be taken on January 10. It has also been reported that a tennis player may be banned from entering Australia for a period of three years. The Australian Open will take place in Melbourne from January 17 to 30, 2022.
