And the queen loves burgers!

Tell me what you eat and I’ll tell you who you are. Favorite dishes can sometimes accurately characterize a person, even if it is the head of state. Usually, the protocol service does not cover what is served to political leaders – privacy and increased first-person secrecy is above all else. However, the culinary habits of presidents and monarchs are sometimes still known to the general public.

Queen of Great Britain and chocolate cake

Elizabeth II sometimes surprises with her taste preferences. So, the former head of Buckingham Palace said that the queen loves hamburgers (by the way, Donald Trump’s favorite dish), which she gets served without a bun. One day, cutlets were prepared for him from a deer shot by the royal family during a hunt. But at the same time, Elizabeth II does not recognize pizza at all.

Her Majesty prefers French cuisine, which surprises her subjects and even many heads of state. The main rule that the chefs of Buckingham Palace follow is the simplicity of the dishes, the absence of fragrant spices and garlic. Fish, chicken, lean beef, vegetables. Everything is strictly low carb – no potatoes or spaghetti.

Elizabeth II has a particular passion for mango, chocolate mousse and chocolate biscuit. Rumor has it that, despite her venerable age, the queen sometimes lets herself be pampered in the evening with a gin-based cocktail and the French Dubonnet aperitif.

Vladimir Putin spoke about his favorite dishes only a few times. It was only after becoming president that he shared with reporters that due to his busy schedule, he manages to snack during the day only with fruits and a glass of kefir.

Then the head of state once admitted that he loves vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce), in the morning he eats porridge, cottage cheese and honey. More often he eats fish and meat, he prefers lamb.

By the way, Vladimir Putin usually drinks tea. Indifferent to sweets, perhaps, except ice cream. Its president buys regularly in the summer during a visit to the International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS).

Sweet Tooth Joe

A true fan of the national cuisine is US President Joe Biden. He, like many of his predecessors, cannot do without fast food and soft drinks, especially with orange flavor. Plus, Biden is a terrible sweet tooth. His love for ice cream is legendary.

Joe Biden hails from Delaware, which he represented in the Senate for nearly 30 years, hence the politician’s craving for local cuisine. The president is very fond of the Bobby sandwich, which is made at Biden’s favorite restaurant in his hometown of Wilmington.

As an exemplary family man, Biden loves the way his wife Jill cooks. His signature dish is pasta with red sauce.

Macron and French Schnitzel

Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte, in real French, are fans of their national cuisine. The Champs Elysées chef only uses products made less than 100 km from Paris.

Brigitte Macron, 68, mainly favors diet foods, fruits and vegetables, salads and lean fish. The first lady also controls her husband’s diet, limiting him to fast food and sausages. But Brigitte did not manage to completely dissuade Emmanuel from eating heavy foods: he is very fond of the cordon bleu (veal cutlet breaded in breadcrumbs and stuffed with cheese and ham).

The fact that the new German Chancellor Olaf Scholz likes, journalists have not yet learned. But the tastes of the former head of the German government, Angela Merkel, are well known.

Frau once admitted that her favorite dish was spaghetti Bolognese. She also noticed that the classic chicken noodle soup also occupies an honorable place in her diet, along with vegetable salads and fresh fruit.

Merkel came to such a diet not so long ago. Although before, the politician could afford sandwiches with sausages and cheese and pork sausages with stewed cabbage.

Justin Trudeau and sushi

The prime minister of Canada is famous for his athletic figure and the appearance of a Disney prince. Little is known about his taste preferences, but Justin Trudeau himself has repeatedly admitted that he does not drink coffee. He said that during his studies at university, he drank liters of it, but in the end he was not used to starting the day with it.

The heart and stomach of the Canadian politician are attached to Asian cuisine, which is rich in protein. Trudeau has a favorite Japanese sushi restaurant in Montreal, Sakura Gardens.

As for alcohol, Trudeau does not limit himself in the matter, but chooses beer instead of wine. And secretly – pizza.

Early in his presidential career, Volodymyr Zelensky posted a photo of himself eating shawarma. The politician complained that there was hardly any time for food. But Zelensky does not indulge in fast food. He repeatedly admitted that he liked almost all the dishes cooked by his wife Elena.

At the same time, the Ukrainian president himself loves a steak cooked in the tandoor. The meat should be well cooked but not overcooked.
