“It’s a fight against the emergence of artificial agricultural clubs.” Koloskov – on the introduction of new rules for loaning players – 20 January 2022

RFU Honorary President Vyacheslav Koloskov has commented on FIFA’s decision to introduce new rules for player rental.

“Such measures are not taken spontaneously. It is clear that behind this lies a serious analysis of what is happening in world football. It’s not about one confederation in particular, but about world football as a whole. Sometimes the clubs only lived on the fact that they rented players or, on the contrary, gave them away. And the players hung like a bargaining chip. This will force the clubs to adopt a more responsible attitude in the formation of the workforce, ”added the interlocutor of the agency.

I don’t think we have an excessive number of player movements on loan. Sometimes this is justified because a player of a fairly decent level cannot play because there is a player of a higher level at his position. In such a situation, it is clear that it is better for the player to go on loan. I can’t say that there was an orgy with rents in Russia.

It is a fight against the emergence of artificial agricultural clubs. A club can loan out seven or eight students, then take them back, and another club will collapse. From now on, there will be uniform rules all over the world. FIFA does everything reasonably and correctly,” Koloskov quotes CASS.
