Continental Hockey League (KHL) CSKA traded striker Nikita Soshnikov for Avangard, in his place Omsk club defender Ilya Dervuk joined the squad. About that informed CSKA Press Service.

CSKA also secured the rights to forward Vsevolod Gaydamak, who plays for the Ottawa Farm Club – Ottawa 67 National Hockey League (NHL) (the club plays in the Canadian Hockey League – RBK).

Since the start of the season, Soshnikov has played 11 regular KHL championship games. At the same time, he failed to score a single goal. In total, since the start of the season, the striker has collected one point, after allowing an assist in the game against Avtomobilist (3: 2 OT).

Soshnikov has played for CSKA since 2020, while from 2016 to 2019 he played in the NHL for clubs in Toronto and St. Louis. In the KHL, he also played for Salavat Yulaev and Atlant. In addition, Soshnikov was called up to the Russian national team for the 2018 World Cup, where the team took sixth place.
