Ferrari stays with ‘pole’ and second grid in Miami

Ferrari completed the double with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz and, this Sunday, will start in dominance at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami.

The Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), leader of the World Championship Formula 1will start first this Sunday from the first Grand Prix in Miami (USA), the fifth in the championship, which takes place on the circuit built around the Hard Rock Stadium.

The ‘Scuderia’ celebrated the double, since the Spaniards carlos sainz will start from second place on the grid.

Leclerc, 24, signed his twelfth “pole” in F1 – the third of the season – by covering the 5,412 meters of the new Miami track in one minute, 28 seconds and 796 thousandths, or 190 less than Sainz.

the Dutch Max Verstappen (Red Bull), last world champion, finished third; and his Mexican partner Sergio Perez, Fourth. They all set their fastest lap on soft tyres.

Finn Valtteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo) will start fifth, from the third row, in which he will be accompanied by his former teammate seven-time English world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), sixth in qualifying.

Behind them, from fourth place, will be the Frenchman Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri) -seventh in the time trial- and the Englishman Lando Norris (McLaren).

Already from the fifth row, the Japanese Yuki Tsunoda (Alpha Tauri) and the Canadian Lance Stroll (Aston Martin) will face the race, which finished tenth in the main time.

Note that the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place this Sunday, May 8 from 3:30 p.m. in our country.
