The resumption of international travel continues to yield good results for Brazil. According to data from the Central Bank, spending by foreign tourists in the country reached 781 million US dollars between January and February, an increase of 63% compared to the same two-month period in 2021 (480 million reais ). In the first two months of this year, according to the Federal Police’s international traffic system, more than 530,000 travelers from other countries came to Brazil.

The good prospects for Brazilian tourism are supported by figures from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. According to the IBGE, the index of tourism activities in the country increased by 29% in the first two months of this year compared to the same period in 2021. The highlights are the sectors of passenger air transport, hotels, car rental, restaurants and collective road transport for passengers.
