Toronto, Canada: Canadian news anchor Farrah Nasser was delivering a live TV segment about flooding in Pakistan when she ‘swallowed a live fly’ and has since gone viral for being professional about it. The Global News Toronto reporter managed to continue reporting even after the fly flew straight into her mouth.

Being a TV presenter isn’t just about reading lines on a teleprompter, as many presenters, time and time again, have been challenged by uncomfortable situations – but Nasser had none of it because she read with precision. the piece and didn’t let the shit of attention to what she described as “a first world problem” juxtaposed against the story she was presenting.

“Pakistan has never seen an unbroken cycle of monsoons like this. Eight weeks of non-stop torrential rains. A national emergency has been invoked…,” Nasser choked, “was invoked by… weather… the extreme weather conditions are alarming…”, she continues despite a broken voice.
