Canada will open its national borders to fully vaccinated tourists from around the world starting September 7. And for U.S. citizens, entry will be available from August 9, TASS reported, citing Canadian Public Safety Minister William Blair.
According to Blair, special requirements will be introduced for visitors. He did not specify which ones, but stressed that the 14-day quarantine would be canceled for tourists with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
The head of the Canadian Ministry of Health, Patricia Haidu, said the department is currently reviewing lists of vaccines that have been approved by the World Health Organization. So far, the country is ready to accept people vaccinated from Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca.
