Ubisoft officially added non-fungible tokens (NFT) to Ghost Recon Breakpoint on a computer. From December 9 via the beta platform Ubisoft Quartz players will be able to buy and sell unique digital items.
With the launch of the platform, Ghost Recon Breakpoint PC players will be able to purchase numbers, which will be certificates for in-game items such as vehicles, weapons, and equipment. Each consists of a fixed number of things, and the tokens will be issued in a limited edition.
Ubisoft believes that the introduction of NFT in games will bring additional excitement.
Panels are a new way to discover cosmetic items that combine fun to play with low-budget quality with the added excitement of owning an NFT. These are unique collectibles on Ubisoft game worlds.
Each brand comes with its own serial number and certificate of ownership. Brands can be sold on third-party platforms outside the Ubisoft ecosystem, informed VGC.
Trading Tokens of the Future: What is NFT and what are they used for in games?
Ubisoft Quartz is powered by the Tezos blockchain, which uses much less power than Ethereum, according to Ubisoft.
Energy efficiency has become a key requirement for advancing blockchain technology in the future, where it can be widely used by millions of players. We chose Tezos because of its original Proof-of-Stake network and leadership in the “pure NFT” space.
The Ubisoft Quartz beta platform will be available from December 9 in the United States, Canada, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Australia and Brazil. The Ghost Recon Breakpoint Free Token Giveaway will take place on December 9, 12, and 15 and later in 2022.
