Three disinformation on vaccines from Joe Rogan’s podcast on Spotify

Finally, the Canadian-American author Neil Young will withdraw from his catalog of the platform, because he will not wait on the demand to censor the Rogan podcast for the falsehoods about the coronavirus that has died. Days later, her colleague and compatriot Joni Mitchell announced a similar move in solidarity with Young and against “irresponsible people spreading lies that are costing people’s lives,” as she wrote on his website.

In elDetector we look for three statements scattered in the schedule by Rogan. One of them was delivered by the driver himself, Joe Rogan, who said that the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines “is a gene therapy.” Others back lost to the medical controversy Robert Malone, a reference in the anti-vaccine world and suspended from Twitter for spreading disinformation.

In an epsode of the podcast Malone ascertained that he had an “explosion of dead people” related to the vacancies against the covid-19 and that he was able to verify in the system that he took the control of post-vaccination reactions (VAERS). Además, puso en duda la seguridad de las vacunas y dijo que son “experimentales”. Te contamos por qué no debes creer eso.

More than 270 doctors and scientists question Robert Malone in an open letter to Spotify

Robert Malone has become a referent among the anti-vaccine people and was suspended on Twitter on December 30, 2021, one day before the episode with Rogan was broadcast.

Due to his participation in the preliminary investigations to develop mRNA vaccines, like Pfizer’s and Moderna’s for covid-19, Malone calls himself “the inventor” of this technology, which was verified by Politifact which confirmed that the doctor is immunology specialist.

We alerted in the misma map that ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ “has a worrying history of transmitting erroneous information, particularly in relation to the pandemic of covid-19”.

The three statements emitted on Joe Rogan’s podcast on Spotify lack evidence and scientific support to confirm their veracity. It is false that vaccines against covid-19 are experimental ; their safety is confirmed by the CDC and they have passed all the necessary phases for their authorization and approval. It is also false that mRNA vaccines are a “gene therapy”, because they do not alter the genetic makeup of the people who receive the immunization. And there is no evidence that VAERS records show “an explosion of deaths”; the reported reports not necessary imply that the vacuum is the cause of these deaths.
