Rangnick could encourage Pogba to stay
Paul Pogba was expected to leave Manchester United this summer but the 28-year-old has changed his mind, according to The Sun. Pogba has been impressed with new boss Ralf Rangnick, and the German believes the Frenchman will serve as a unifying presence in the team, and he could be retained as permanent manager after the summer.

Paper round display: Rangnick hasn’t done anything special so far but his track record should give him a chance as the club’s new manager. If he can get Pogba to play his best for the rest of the season that would likely see them finish in the top four, while if he can convince him to stay at Old Trafford and be fully committed the club will be revived on field. .

Newcastle lost Belotti
Newcastle United were able to offer the Turin striker a salary of between seven and eight million euros to join the club, but the 28-year-old refused. With the newly wealthy Premier League side under the financial burden of securing a deal, the striker would rather go to AC Milan, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic running out of contract this summer and therefore opening up a vacancy, claim The Mirror.
Paper round display: Belotti was hot property a few years ago and his form has faded a bit, but he remains a solid striker with the physical presence to help him succeed in the Premier League. But Milan are now back near the top of the table and will offer Belotti the chance to stay in his own country while allowing him to play for a more glamorous side.
Lampard close to Everton post
After coming close to appointing Vitor Pereira as Everton’s new manager, the club had to scrap those plans as fans voiced their unhappiness over the prospect. The Mail claim that in return he will offer the job to former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, with the 44-year-old likely to loan Ross Barkley back to his former club before the transfer window closes.
Paper round display: Even when he was sacked by Chelsea, he did a far from terrible job – after all, Thomas Tuchel is now going through a tough time with his players after an early and successful honeymoon. Everton have plenty of problems but they have keen owners so if Lampard can solidify his boat the future will be bright for next season.
Burnley ready for a double deal
Burnley chairman Alex Pace is in Croatia as they seek to complete a £7m deal for Dinamo Zagreb winger Mislav Orsic, with the Premier League side looking to strengthen ahead of their battle for relegation. Wout Weghorst is also on the way, with the 29-year-old Dutchman signing a £12million deal with German side Wolfsburg.
Paper round display: Sean Dyche is often happy to receive offers for a player who is about to hit his thirties and seems keen on signing two more veterans. Both transfers represent a risk, but they offer experience, and with Chris Wood leaving for relegation rivals Newcastle, Burnley must act to salvage their season.
