Nice results were obtained by a young Indonesian couple in men’s doubles, Pramudya / Yeremia. Playing at St Jakobshalle, Basel, on Wednesday (3/3/2021) WIB afternoon, they won the match after battling the rubber game for 59 minutes with scores of 15-21, 21-14 and 21-17 .
Pramudya / Jeremiah himself was actually overwhelmed by the Ho-Shue / Yakura match early in the match. They couldn’t really wrest control of the game from the Canadian pair and fell behind from start to finish in the first set with a score of 15-21.
But in the second set, Pramudya / Jeremiah managed to get up. They now truly control the game from the start of the game. The Indonesian men’s double was far ahead in the opening set interval with a score of 11-4.
After the break, Ho-Shue / Yakura tried to catch up. However, their efforts did not go well. Ho-Shue / Yakura also lost in the second set with a score of 14-21.
In the third set, the duel became more and more fierce and interesting. The match started with the advantage of Pramudya / Jeremiah with a score of 6-2. But then Ho-Shue / Yakura managed to catch up to take the lead in the interval with a score of 11-9.
After the break, Pramudya / Jeremiah slowly managed to close the gap until they finally reversed the position to 16-15. After that the match was controlled by him who won with a score of 21-17.
Pramudya / Yeremia followed Indonesian mixed doubles Rinov Rivaldy / Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, who had qualified for the last 16. Now in the round of 16, Pramudya / Jeremiah are still waiting for their opponent.
