Rivalry Series 2022-23: Dates, times, scores and how to watch USA vs Canada women’s hockey games

One of the biggest rivalries is ongoing in a seven-game series, as the United States and Canada face off in the 2022-23 Rivalry Series.

Both countries have dominated women’s hockey. In the history of the IIHF Women’s World Championship and the Olympic Winter Games, only two gold medal games have not brought the Americans and Canadians together.

Both women’s national teams are participating in the third edition of the Rivalry Series. He hasn’t been played the past two seasons due to COVID-19.

So far, the United States has a 3-2 series lead. The Americans took victories in all three competitions in November, including two in Canada. Last time out, Canada won 3-2 in overtime to close out the December games.

What is the Rivalry Series?

The Rivalry Series was introduced by USA Hockey and Hockey Canada during the 2018-19 season. It was a way for the two powers to meet on an annual basis outside of other international competitions.

The first year, the event consisted of three matches between the women’s national teams. Canada won the series 2-1.

The following 2019–20 season consisted of five games, with the streak spanning just one month. Team USA dominated that year, winning four of five games.

The series has not played for the past two years due to COVID-19.

When is 2022-23 Rivalry Seriess start?

The seven matches between the bitter rivals will begin with Game 1 on Tuesday, November 15. The teams will play two more games that week on Thursday November 17 and Sunday November 20.

After that, the series is interrupted until mid-December. The last two games are not yet scheduled.

Where is the 2022-23 Rivalry Series?

The 2022-23 Rivalry Series will be played at multiple locations in both countries. Five different cities in the United States and Canada will host a game for the series. Kelowna, BC will host the first game.

The location of the last two competitions has not yet been announced.
