CHAMPION AS Open 2021, Emma Raducanu just get complete rest for just a week. He chose to end his rest period in order to immediately set foot on training gas to prepare for the 2022 season.
Raducanu had a great first season. Winning 10 matches, the Canadian went all the way in Grand Slam tournaments, notably by winning the US Open trophy at Flushing Meadows.
He finished the year with a career record ranked 19th in the WTA rankings. His last game of the season ended in a first round loss to Upper Austria Linz Ladies in early November.

Since then, Raducanu has had the opportunity to rest for a week. During this time, he admitted to having completely isolated himself from the tennis world.
He returned last Sunday and played his first game on English soil to face his training partner, Romania’s Elena-Gabriela Ruse, at the Royal Albert Hall. Having finished winning the match 6-3, 7-6 (7-3), he unveiled his program for the next few weeks.
“Six days of being completely absent (from tennis) and I (re) started my preseason this week Tuesday. But I do a lot of fitness and I don’t play too much tennis, so I’m a little nervous playing in front of everyone here. ”
