F1 News: Nicholas Latifi says his adaptability and experience in F1 2021 will be key to the success of the 2022 season, which comes with new regulations.
Nicholas Latifi believes he has learned many valuable lessons from the 2021 championship in order to understand all that Formula 1 is all about.
The Canadian also managed to score his first premier class points by finishing seventh in the Hungarian GP series, one position ahead of Russell. Additionally, he was able to finish ninth in the Belgian GP series.
This year, Latifi will be paired with Alex Albon. Both are known to have been teammates when he competed in the Formula 2 event with DAMS in 2018.
Although on paper Albon has a much better performance, Williams boss Jost Capito insists there is no special driver in his team.
“The biggest lesson is how important it is to be flexible and adapt, depending on the situation, how to control the car,” said Latifi, as quoted by Motorsport.com.

The 2021 season was actually an opportunity for Nicholas Latifi to show his abilities, as it was his second year in Formula 1. However, regulatory changes forced him to learn more and adapt to the new rules .
“Adaptation is probably the most important thing, especially in F1 where nothing will ever be perfect. The car can always be a little better, driving it can always be a little better, you just have to adapt to the best way of driving a car, which may not be to your liking.”
