VANTAA – single Indonesian gentlemen, Jonatan Christie, and in women’s singles, Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo, lost to Canada in Sudirman Cup 2021. Responding to the loss, Rionny Mainkay, head of achievement development at PBSI (Kabin Pinpres), said both players had done their best.
Despite the loss, according to Rionny, Ester’s debut in the Sudirman Cup went rather well in the first game. However, unfortunately in the second game Ester was under pressure and won the opponent more points than Esther’s points.
Entering the third game, Esther was able to catch up and excel. It’s just that he made a mistake at a critical time.

“The ball in front of the net should have been pushed, but instead it was scored again and the opponent was able to deactivate it. It’s an important lesson for a young player like Ester. Not only commenting on Ester’s loss, Rionny also commented on the loss of 2018 Asian Games gold medalist Jonatan Christie.
