RussiaThe Department of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday that 100 Canadians have been added to the list of people banned from entering the country in response to sanctions against Russia by Canada.
According to a ministry statement, author Margaret Atwood, actress jim carrey and Amy Knight, a noted KGB historian, were on the banned list.

The ministry said they and the 97 others, many of whom are linked to ethnic groups Ukrainian organizations, were banned because of their involvement in “forming (Canada’s) aggressively anti-Russian course”.
Russia has also included several journalists on its ban list, including David Akin of Global News. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, former Quebec Premier Jean Charest and former federal Conservative cabinet minister Peter MacKay were also named.
