“Hellbound” Changes “Squid Game” Position on Netflix’s Popular Series List

Jakarta (ANTARA) – South Korean fantasy horror series “Hellbound” managed to dominate the world rankings for popular TV shows soon after its release and topped the long-top “Squid Game”, as cited by Yonhap, Monday.

According to data from streaming analytics firm Flix Patrol, “Hellbound” became the most-watched TV program on Netflix on Saturday, November 20, US time, a day after its world premiere.

“Hellbound” was ranked number one on the list of most watched shows in 24 countries, including South Korea, Belgium and Mexico, as well as third in several other countries such as the United States and Canada.

But the next day, “Hellbound” fell to second place after “Arcane”, an animated fighting game series. in line “League of Legends” rose to number one.

Written and directed by Yeon Sang-ho who previously worked on “Train to Busan” in 2016, “Hellbound” depicts chaos and turmoil after a series of unexplained supernatural phenomena.

“Hellbound” is adapted from webtoon titled “Hell” which was written and drawn by Yeon and has received a lot of praise since its release in 2019.
