Accordingly Rogers Sportsnet On Sunday, London Knights forward Easton Cowan of Strathroy, Ont., tied the Knights’ franchise record for longest consecutive game streak with one point when he had two assists in the Knights’ 7-4 victory over the Windsor Spitfires. Cowan has one point in 34 consecutive games, breaking the record previously held by Dave Gilmore of St. Thomas, Ontario, who had a consecutive game streak of 33 points during the 1993–94 Ontario Hockey League regular season.

The streak began on November 25, 2023. Cowan scored a goal and two assists for three points in the Knights’ dominant 9-3 win over the Barrie Colts. In 34 games he scored 23 goals and 41 assists for 64 points. This season, Cowan has 32 goals and 60 assists for 92 points.

Cowan was selected 28th overall in the 2023 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round. The Ontario Hockey League record for longest one-point game streak also has something to do with the Maple Leafs. Former Maple Leafs legend Doug Gilmour of Kingston, Ontario had a 55-game point streak with the Cornwall Royals from October 19, 1982 to February 27, 1983.

The Knights are now the best team in the OHL. With a record of 48 wins, 14 regular season defeats and four overtime defeats, they broke the century mark with 100 points.
