Canada’s Olympic champion didn’t like Kostornaya’s programs – Gazeta.Ru

Canadian figure skater Megan Duhamel opened up about Russian performance Alena Kostornaya, reports “Sport-Express”.

“She has to skate harder to improve her components. Fill in the spaces between the jumps and find more connection with the music. It’s not here now, ”said Duhamel.

At the second stop of the Skate Canada Figure Skating Grand Prix, held in Vancouver, Kostornaya scored 214.54 points on the sum of two programs and took third place in the singles competition.

Kostornaya won gold at the 2020 European Championship in Graz. She is also the winner of the Grand Prix finals, silver medalist and double bronze medalist of the Russian championship.

Before the start of the 2020/21 season, the skater left Eteri Tutberidze’s squad for the academy of two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko, but a year later she returned to a specialist.
