After long rumors, Valve finally launched a game console Steam bridge. This Nintendo Switch competitor handheld console is designed for gamers who want to play PC games on Steam anywhere and anytime.
Although the design is quite compact like the Switch, the Steam Deck can be called a mini PC. This console uses a custom APU from AMD based on a quad-core Zen 2 processor, RDNA 2 graphics, and 16 GB of RAM.
Steam Deck is available in three internal storage options namely 64 GB eMMC, 256 GB NVMe SSD and 512 GB high speed NVMe SSD. The storage capacity can be increased with a high speed microSD card.
Steam Deck has a 7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800. Next to the screen are the ABXY buttons, the D-pad, a pair of trackpads, and a gamepad.
On the shoulders there are also two buttons on the left and right, and four buttons on the back. There’s also a microphone, left and right speakers, a headphone jack and cooling fan, plus USB-C and Bluetooth for connectivity.

Steam bridge equipped with a 40 Wh battery that allows you to play games for several hours. Steam claims that this battery can last up to 7-8 hours for light use, like playing small 2D games, streaming games, or browsing the web, as reported in The Verge, Friday (16 / 7/2021).
Valve has equipped the Steam Deck with the latest version of the SteamOS operating system optimized for the handheld console form factor. This operating system is based on Linux and for compatibility is supported by Proton so that developers do not need to create special game ports to run on Steam Deck.
Valve says the Steam Deck feature is designed to look a lot like the Steam app on the desktop, with chat, notifications, cloud storage, and a synced game collection. Players can also stream games from their PC directly to the Steam Deck using the remote play feature.
Just like Switch, Steam bridge Also comes with a special docking station that can connect the console to an external display such as a TV. But this dock is sold separately.
The Steam Deck will be available in December 2021 in the United States, Canada, the European Union and the United Kingdom, and will be available in more countries in 2022. The console is priced at $ 399 (5.8 million Rp) to 649 USD (Rp 5.8 million). 9.4 million) depending on its internal memory capacity.
