Aisha Yang and Musharaf Syed, co-founders and CEOs of Herbaland Naturals Inc. – the largest producer of gummy vitamins in Canada – are Canada’s EY Entrepreneurs of the Year® Winners 2023. Announced at an awards ceremony last night, Yang and Syed were selected by the independent jury for their commitment to sustainable manufacturing and creating more accessible health and wellness products for all.

“Herbaland’s mission and ethos goes beyond achieving business results. This is clearly evident in their commitment to building a diverse workforce, promoting accessibility in wellness and prioritizing sustainable production practices,” says Rachel Rodrigues, Program Director of EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Canada. “Their unwavering focus on positively impacting individuals and empowering them to live healthier lives while contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive global community is absolutely commendable.”

Herbaland has a global presence and exports its products to over 40 countries. Their annual production exceeds 70 million units, all aimed at improving people’s health and promoting a better quality of life. As the first gummy company to introduce 100% compostable packaging, Herbaland has solidified its position as a true leader in ethical and sustainable business practices and achieved B Corp certification.

Beyond sustainability, Yang and Syed place great emphasis on providing employment opportunities to newcomers. As an immigrant-founded, minority and diverse company, Herbaland is also a proud certified member of the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council and employs employees from more than 20 countries.
