According to a report, Edmonton would appear to be the safest place in Canada to survive a hypothetical zombie apocalypse ranking by Rentola, an online rental portal.
Five factors such as vulnerability, hiding spots, supplies, security and mobility were analyzed to determine the best and worst cities to live in when the undead were about to take to the streets.
Threats include population density and health. Hideouts takes into account the average household size, green spaces and vacancy rates. “Supplies” deals with access to food, water and medicines. Security takes crime and weapons data into account. Walking, jogging and cycling values as well as roads are taken into account for mobility.
Rentola ranked 35 metro areas based on their analysis across the five categories.
