Canadian golfer and notorious tackle victim Adam Hadwin was given extra protection by the United States Golf Association so he wouldn’t be confused with one of the patrons – again.

After the hilarious and viral moment when Hadwin was attacked by security at the RBC Canadian Open, he got a surprise in his locker at this week’s US Open.

There he found a map and a fluorescent yellow safety vest and two hard hats with the USGA and Los Angeles Country Club logos on them.

The card was signed by USGA Senior Director Robert Zalzneck and USGA Director of Player Services Jenny Pritchard.

“Adam, I’m glad you’re doing better and made the journey,” the card said. “Your safety is our top priority. We are here to support you and ensure your well-being.”

Hadwin was brought down by security while celebrating friend and compatriot Nick Taylor’s win in Toronto.

Taylor became the first Canadian in 69 years to win his home country’s Open with a four-hole playoff win over Tommy Fleetwood.

Hadwin charged across the green and splashed champagne on Taylor and his caddy as he was knocked to the ground.

The moment went viral – even Hadwin’s wife made jokes at her husband’s expense.

Hadwin goes into the US Open with +25,000 odds to win the big tournament. Scottie Scheffler was the favorite at +650, followed by Jon Rahm at +900 and Brooks Koepka at +1200.
