University of Lethbridge student wins $10,000 national scholarship

In a press release, Crow said, “I am honored and grateful to have been selected as one of ten students across the country to win such a prestigious award as the Futures Fund.”

He added, “I believe this demonstrates my dedication and commitment to science, advocacy and work experience.”

Crow was celebrated with his fellow receivers in Toronto in early May at a special reception. Winners were also invited to the Canada Outstanding CEO of the Year Awards Gala.

Crow stated, “My time at the Futures Fund event was such an enlightening and inspiring experience.”

“I’ve had the opportunity to hear firsthand from great business leaders and CEOs like Dave McKay, CEO of the Royal Bank of Canada and CEO of the Year 2022.”

Crow is a Blackfoot member of the Kainai First Nation. He hopes winning the award can inspire people who share his roots.

He said, “As an Indigenous person and a proud Blackfoot member of the Kainai First Nation, it is very important to me to fill spaces within the western world and its institutions so that present and future generations can feel a sense of belonging and acceptance.” themselves in similar roles.”

The Dhillon School of Business was one of ten university business schools across Canada selected to select their most deserving student to receive the $10,000 scholarship.
