Understanding Canadians’ experiences with digital health

Canadians are increasingly frustrated by the health system’s lack of seamless communication and information sharing. Canada Health Infoway 2023 Canadian Digital Health Survey found:

  • 42 percent of Canadians report gaps in care coordination and clinical communication and often cite frustration with repeatedly providing information to different health care providers.
  • Only half of Canadians surveyed said their healthcare providers have access to their medical history before the visit.

A more connected and collaborative system is a healthier system. Connected Care is about modernizing our healthcare system to enable the seamless flow of healthcare data across information systems, between providers and to patients. That means:

This data shows that Canadians are embracing the adoption of connected care solutions.
