Twitter launched this Thursday (3) its subscription service which offers additional features to users. Currently only available in Australia and Canada, it allows you to cancel tweets before others see it and change the colors of the app.
The option to cancel sending a tweet is the closest to the “edit” button ever offered by the platform. With the new feature, subscribers have up to 30 seconds to opt out of the post if they notice any typos or wonder if the content should really be shared.
The range is most useful for accounts that have a lot of subscribers. This is because the paid plan prevents a tweet from being seen immediately by other people.
The subscription also allows you to organize the tweets in folders. The solution is useful for those who want specific places to store discussion threads, funny videos, and movie directions, for example.
Plus, there’s a read mode, which turns tweet strings into continuous text to enhance the experience. The plan also offers options to change the icon and colors of the Twitter app on the cell phone, as well as dedicated support for followers.
Twitter Blue is already priced in Brazil
Twitter Blue is the social network’s first subscription offering and a movement seeking a consistent source of income. The goal is to increase revenue beyond its core business of selling advertising on the platform.
The plan will have a tuition fee of C $ 3.49 (£ 14.64 at current prices) or A $ 4.49 (£ 17.45). In Brazil it will cost R $ 15.90 per month. Twitter let the information flow through the App Store, the iPhone App Store.
The company has not provided details on when Twitter Blue will be transmitted to users in other countries.
