Tim Hortons Camp Day returns on July 19 across North America.
Each camp day, 100 percent of the proceeds from all hot and iced coffee sales at restaurants are donated Tim Hortons Foundation camps to help disadvantaged youth.
Starting today, customers can support Tim’s Camps by purchasing a $3 Camp Day bracelet or a $2 donation badge available in restaurants. All proceeds will be donated to Tim’s Camps.
“For over 30 years, Camp Day has helped Tims Camps empower youth to believe in their own potential and change their stories for the better,” said Axel Schwan, President of Tim Hortons.
“I’m so proud of how our restaurant owners, their team members and our guests come together each day of camp to make a difference – and together we’ve helped provide a life-changing experience to over 315,000 youth.”
Camp Day was started in 1987 by 58 restaurant owners in Atlantic Canada who donated 24 hours of sales to Camp Day Tim Horton children’s camp in Tatamagouche, NS The initiative spread to the entire company in 1991. Last year, Camp Day raised more than $12 million on Camp Day, and over the past three decades it has raised more than $236 million.
Other ways to support Camp Day:
- Order a Tim Hortons Take 12 to share with colleagues or friends and family. A Tim Hortons Take 12 contains 12 small coffees, cups, dairy and sweeteners. Guests can also fill out a pre-order form for Take 12s in advance so their entire work team or family can support Camp Day together.
- Summary of the company’s mobile app. To round up your order to the nearest 10 cents, open the Tims app, tap Community, and turn on the Round Up toggle. Customers can also ask a team member to round their order up to the nearest dollar.
- Guests can also order a Camp Day donut for $2 at participating restaurants in Canada, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Tim’s Camps.
