The provisional program for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles included 28 sports. This was announced by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) during its website Thursday, February 3.

The program included sports such as athletics, golf, judo, swimming, rugby, triathlon, taekwondo, sailing, cycling.
At the same time, modern pentathlon, weightlifting and boxing were not recognized at the IOC session as Olympic sports and will not be represented at the Games in 2028.
Next year, the Organizing Committee for the Games in Los Angeles may submit additional sports to the IOC.
As can be seen from the statement, the Los Angeles Olympic Games Committee and the IOC have approved an agreement on reducing the cost of sports competitions within the framework of the Games.
