All games in the upcoming Davis Cup qualifier between Team Canada presented by Sobeys and Korea Republic will be broadcast live in French on TVA Sports 2 and livestreamed in English on CBC Sports.
The tie, which will be played at the IGA Stadium in Montreal on February 2nd and 3rd, will determine which country qualifies for the group stage of the Davis Cup Finals.
“This agreement with TVA Sports and CBC Sports is fantastic news for Canadian tennis,” said tournament director Valérie Tétreault. “After winning the Davis Cup in 2022 and witnessing the passion across the country, we are excited for fans to have another opportunity to watch Canada’s best take to the courts for an exciting Davis Cup qualifier. The opportunity to cover this prestigious event truly helps us build Canada’s Davis Cup tradition.”
Led by captain Frank Dancevic, the Canadian squad consists of Milos Raonic, Gabriel Diallo, Alexis Galarneau, Vasek Pospisil and Liam Draxl. The Korea Republic squad includes Soonwoo Kwon, Seongchan Hong, Jisung Nam, Minkyu Song, Jeamoon Lee and captain Young-Jun Kim.
The action begins at 4:00 p.m. ET on Friday as both teams look to keep their 2024 Davis Cup title hopes alive. TVA Sports subscribers can watch live coverage on TVA Sports 2, while all of Canada can stream the games for free on CBC Gem, cbcsports.ca and the CBC Sports app for iOS and Android devices.
