A Canadian television presenter who attended Celtic’s game against Dundee this week said it was “one of the best sporting atmospheres I have ever experienced”.
Celtic beat Dundee 7-1 on Wednesday (February 28), relieving some of the growing pressure on Brendan Rodgers. The Parkhead audience witnessed an impressive performance with an enthusiastic response.
Devin Heroux, a Canadian anchor and reporter in town to cover the World Indoor Championships at the Commonwealth Arena in Glasgow, was one of the enthusiastic spectators. With apparent Canadian interest in Hoops defender Alistair Johnston, he headed to Parkhead during his downtime and had the night of his life, the Daily Record Reports.

During the game, he posted a selfie of himself in the East Stand and tweeted: “This was one of the best sporting atmospheres I have ever experienced. It’s a 7-1 win for Celtic over Dundee and the locals go home happy. 60,000 fans. They have 48,000 season ticket holders. Remarkable. Unforgettable experience at Celtic Park.”
Heroux presents That Curling Show among other winter sports reports for CBS and Radio Canada. While in Scotland he also had his first taste of Irn Bru, which he described as pleasant and “tasteful”, although he said he regretted it by 7.30pm.
