The Burov brothers join the Russian freestyle team for the Olympics – Sport

MOSCOW, January 21. /TASS/. 2018 Olympics bronze medalist in freestyle skiing Ilya Burov and three-time world champion Maxim Burov have been included in Russia’s freestyle team for the Beijing Games. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Freestyle Federation.

The Russian team included 22 athletes.

Stanislav Nikitin, Lyubov Nikitina, Anastasia Prytkova and Yesenia Pantyukhova will also perform in acrobatics. In ski-cross, Russia will be represented by Sergey Ridzik, Igor Omelin, Kirill Sysoev, Anastasia Chirtsova, Ekaterina Maltseva, Natalia Sherina, Elizaveta Ponkratova, in moguls – Nikita Novitsky, Nikita Andreev, Anastasia Smirnova, Victoria Lazarenko, Anastasia Pervushina, Polina Chudinova. In slopestyle, Anastasia Tatalina and Ksenia Orlova were included in the halfpipe – Roman Egorov.

The Russian Freestyle Skiing Federation, together with the Russian Olympic Committee, continues to work actively to defend the interests of the International Olympic Committee and the International Ski Federation in terms of the allocation of additional quotas due to non-participation in qualifying competitions due to an entry ban by US and Canadian authorities.

The Beijing Olympics will take place from February 4 to 20. Freestylers will compete for 13 sets of medals.
