A dominant fourth quarter for the Winnipeg Sea Bears resulted in victory Friday night as they defeated the visitors Saskatchewan Rattlers 86-78 in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.

Early in the last quarter, the Rattlers held a 62-57 lead, but by the time the target score was determined after three minutes, Winnipeg had reduced the lead to a single point and was 76-75 behind.
The Sea Bears then went on a winning streak, holding onto two free throws for Saskatchewan while also amassing 10 points to be first to reach the target number and seal the win.
Saskatchewans Justin Wright-Foreman led both teams’ players with 24 points, while Teddy Allen scored 22 points for Winnipeg.
The loss was the fifth consecutive loss for the Rattlers, who fell 2-6 in the league standings and are now fifth in the CEBL Western Conference.

bowler Ian Cushon won two gold medals at the Games by first winning the men’s doubles and then also winning the men’s singles with a performance of 528 points. In the team competition, Cushon and the rest of the Canadian team placed fourth.
Now a sevens soccer player Terra Dagenais and her Canadian team-mates took bronze to crown the competition with a 2-1 win over Bharat (India) in the third-place play-off.
