Solskjær crisis worsened after loss to Watford: – A nightmare – rbnett.no

The United side have come back from a heavy 0-2 loss to city rivals Manchester City and the loss to Watford will give Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s critics more water on the mill.

After the game, Solskjær applauded visiting United fans and apologized with his hands up.

– It is of course a big challenge for the whole club. We know the results are not good enough. Of course, something is wrong, Solskjær told Sky Sports after the game.

Asked about his future at United, the Norwegian replied:

– I work with the club and have good communication. It will be between us if the club intends to do anything.

Emmanuel Dennis played very well for Watford and delivered one goal and two assists in settlement. Joshua King scored his fifth goal against the former club.

– A nightmare

Watford came out at a good pace and surprised a passive United. After ten minutes, Joshua King sent a free kick high above the penalty area. At first, David de Gea saved Ismäila Sarr’s attempt, but on the return, Kiko Femenía came on and put the ball in goal.

However, photos showed the Spaniard was inside the pitch when the penalty was awarded. It was therefore necessary to take it back. Once again they saved Gea, this time the penalty stayed.

After 28 minutes, however, Watford had a hole in the boil. Dennis found King five yards away, and he put the ball into the close goal scored by the United defense.

Just before the break, things got worse for United. Sarr received the ball sideways into the penalty area and hammered it into the corner.

– It was an embarrassing first half. We could have conceded four goals. It was very hard to see the team perform like today. It’s a nightmare, United goalkeeper David de Gea said after the game.

– I just have to apologize to the fans, he continued.

So red

Dutchman Donny van de Beek took a break for “The Red Devils”, and after just five minutes on the pitch, he cut back. Cristiano Ronaldo steered the ball into the box, where van de Beek dove into the goal 1-2.

After 70 minutes United captain Harry Maguire was sent off for two yellow cards. On card number two, he played the ball before cutting out former United player Tom Cleverley.

United had great chances in the last quarter, but João Pedro and Dennis punctured the game with their respective counterattacks in overtime.
