Our quest to review every fall and Halloween treat available at Walt Disney World brings us to BoardWalk Bakery. The Disney’s BoardWalk Resort location has three unique offerings for the spooky season. We tried a Mickey Mouse ghostly brownie, a candy corn cupcake, and a macaroon pumpkin pop.
BoardWalk bakery is located along the boardwalk. Look for the striped awnings.
Inside, a pumpkin Mickey Mouse scarecrow adds a festive touch.
Mickey Mouse Ghostly Brownie — $4.79
The treat is a dome-shaped brownie covered in chocolate ganache. White chocolate is used for the fangs.
The ears are milk chocolate.
The brownie has a perfect texture and easily melts.
This is all chocolate. Grab a glass of milk; this is very rich.
Candy Corn Cupcake — $5.99
This is a basic vanilla cupcake topped with vanilla buttercream frosting. Although it looks like candy corn, the treat does not taste like candy corn.
The orange pearls add a sugary candy flavor.
Chocolate ears are drizzled with white chocolate.
While this looks good, it is a very plain, unremarkable treat.
Macaroon Pumpkin Pop — $5.99
Orange dusting covers the coconut macaroon.
Green vanilla icing creates the pumpkin stem.
This is a perfectly-made coconut macaroon. It is not overcooked, nor is it too hard.
We enjoyed the texture. This treat becomes very sweet after a few bites.
