A new magazine ranking has confirmed what most Montrealers already know: the city is home to some of the best restaurants in the country.
Canada’s 100 Best Magazine Published its annual list on Monday one of the best restaurants and Mon Lapin in Montreal took first place for the second year in a row.
Almost 30 percent of the restaurants mentioned came from the metropolis and five restaurants from Montreal were also in the top 20: Beba (8th place), Monarque (11th place), Montréal Plaza (13th place) and Toqué! (#19).
Montreal also took the top spot for the fourth time since 2015.
A record 150 voting judges compiled the 2024 list, including 20 newcomers from diverse backgrounds including culinary enthusiasts, food writers and critics, chefs, restaurateurs and other food service professionals.
