What’s going on between Bayern Munich and Alphonso Davies?
This was a strange time for relations between Bayern Munich and star left-back Alphonso Davies.
First we saw Davies’ agent (Nick Huoseh) admitting that he had already spoken to a few other clubs (real Madrid it was rumored that he was one of them). We’ve even heard David Alaba could be pushing for Davies to join Spain as well. Davies was also featured on a podcast describing himself as “stuck” at left-back rather than playing left winger.
We’ve seen Davies consider staying at Bayern Munich for the rest of his career, but that seems a bit questionable. According to Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk, the Canadian and his agent are now postponing talks with Bayern Munich in hopes of an offer from Real Madrid:

As previously speculated, Davies felt a connection with former Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidžić, which is one of the main reasons things have stalled between the 22-year-old and Bayern Munich.
Sure, it could all be a pose by his agent, but Bayern Munich need to think quickly about whether they might need to start planning another left-back in the near or distant future.
For now, Raphael Guerreiro could take over the role should Davies make a stunning switch this summer.
