“I think anything we can do to bring people and young people together through play is the way to build relationships, to forge understanding and we need to enjoy our outdoor space here,” said Regina Mayor Sandra Masters .

“Investing in barrier-free playgrounds, including playgrounds, is extremely important for the future.”

Canadian Tire Jumpstart regional manager said working with the City of Regina was a wonderful opportunity to get the playground up and running this year.

“We wanted to make sure it was an inclusive playground … for kids of all abilities,” Glenn McLean said.

“So whether it’s mobility issues, hearing issues, your vision, the colors or the components, they’re all chosen with intention.”

Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a national charity that ensures children with disabilities have equal access to sports and recreation.
