Red Bull dominates the Formula 1 season. Her most recent win at the Canadian GP ended with Max Verstappen taking the win and 100 team wins. There are still issues for the team as Sergio Perez struggled throughout the Montreal race.
Sergio Perez started the Canadian GP 12th on the grid. The Red Bull driver increased the pace and finally ended up in P6. He didn’t make it onto the podium and that’s it left him frustratedper Formula 1.
“Today was a little surprise, we just didn’t have the pace. It looked good on the hard tire initially, but when the safety car came I couldn’t regain grip on that tire and we didn’t have the pace on the medium,” said the Red Bull driver.
The main problem for him was his tire grips which limited his pace throughout the Canadian GP. Sergio Perez went on to explain his personal feelings and what he expects from Red Bull going forward.
“It’s important that we take the time to understand the weekend because this race in particular was weak in terms of pace and we need to get the upper hand. I have confidence and I know what I can do, but today we weren’t good. At the moment I’m more worried about my drop in performance than about my place in the championship because the pace is just not right,” he said.
Red Bull remained dominant after every race. Due to recent troubles, the team may return to Earth.
