Durham Regional Police have released surveillance footage of two suspects wanted in connection with a shooting at a Pickering bar on Friday that seriously injured a 22-year-old man.
At around 11:30pm, police responded to a call to fight at the Harp and Crown pub on Kingston Road, Pickering.
“During the altercation, a man sustained a gunshot wound and was taken to a Toronto-area trauma center where his condition is listed as serious but stable,” police said in a release.
“After reviewing the surveillance video and speaking to witnesses, investigators were able to determine that there are two suspects responsible for this incident.”
The first suspect is described by police as a thin build black man in his early 20s. He may have braided hair, police said, and he was wearing a black tracksuit with light-colored stripes down the side at the time of the incident.
The second suspect is described as a black male, around 25 years old, with short hair and chinstrap style facial hair.
“Police are appealing to anyone who was in the bar at the time of the altercation who may have information,” the press release said.
“Any witnesses with cellphone video are also encouraged to come forward and speak to investigators.”
Police are asking those with leads to contact Det. MacKinnon or Det. Smith at the West Division Criminal Police Office at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2529 or 2528 or Crime Stoppers anonymous.
