Washington Capitals National Hockey League (NHL) and Russian National Team forward Alexander Ovechkin came in only fourth on the league’s top snipers list.
The 36-year-old forward hit Joonas Corpisalo’s goal in the 11th minute of the first period of the regular season game against the Columbus Boy Jackets. Ovechkin was assisted by Evgeny Kuznetsov and Martin Fehervari.
That goal was for the 742nd “Capital” captain in the NHL Regular Championship. Ahead of the record for Canadian forward Wayne Gretzky, who leads the list of all-time best snipers, the Russian still has 152 goals, according to the Caps press service in Twitter.
Recall that after the second period of the draw “Columbus” – “Washington”, the score is 3: 3.
Currently, Ovechkin has 12 goals this season in the NHL.
