The 2024 Summer Olympics are just around the corner and will be held in Paris. This time, football will also be on the program and there will be a shortened tournament for men’s and women’s teams.
Olympic rules state that the men’s football tournament must consist of players under the age of 23 (born on or after January 1, 2001), with three over-age players allowed per nation. There are no age restrictions for the women’s tournament.
Having just completed the 2024 Euros and the Copa America, many stars are missing from their national team squads, but there are still strong teams like Argentina, Spain and the USA. As hosts, France automatically qualified for the men’s and women’s tournament.
