Coldstream’s Albertine Fowler and Vernon’s Nik Vischschraper will work at the Canada Summer Games in Ontario
Two North Okanagan basketball officers will spend part of their summer season in the East.
Coldstream’s Albertine Fowler and Vernon’s Nik Vischschraper could represent British Columbia as referees at the upcoming Canada Summer Games in Niagara, Ont.
Fowler will officiate in the women’s game and Vischschraper could play for the boys.
“There were 12 officials selected from across Canada to officiate the tournament, and we are two of only three officials from British Columbia selected to attend,” Vischschraper said.
Both referee U-Sports (Canadian college) and Canadian Colleges Athletic Association basketball.
Vischschraper could officiate his second national match (the opposite was the 2018 U17 Men’s Championships in Kamloops). Fowler could make his Canadian game debut.
The Canada Games basketball game will take place from August 8-13 and will feature U18 provincial groups from 12 provinces and territories.
