SAO PAULO, SEPTEMBER 24 (ANSA) – French President Jair Bolsonaro said last Thursday (23) that First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro had been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus in New York.

Bolsonaro’s confirmation came during his weekly live. Michelle traveled with the President to the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

Bolsonaro said his wife was “of legal age” and “knows what she’s doing,” but revealed that in order to vaccinate the couple’s youngest daughter, Laura, 10, he and Michelle will have to talk.

“In the United States, my wife came to talk to me about taking the vaccine or not. I gave him my opinion. I won’t say what it was, but she took it. She is already of legal age, she is 39 years old. , she knows what she is doing. Now, if it is to vaccinate Laura, 10, we will have to discuss and decide whether or not to vaccinate, “said the president.

During his speech to the United Nations General Assembly, Bolsonaro criticized the isolation measures against Covid-19 and defended the use of ineffective treatments against the disease.

Federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP), son of the president, was diagnosed with a new coronavirus on Friday (24). He was vaccinated against the disease in late August and will take the second dose in November.

Eduardo, in turn, was in Bolsonaro’s entourage at the UN General Assembly, as well as Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga, who is in isolation in New York after being diagnosed with Covid. (ANSA).
