Michael Buble has received his Grammy – three months after the award.
The 47-year-old singer previously won the gong for best traditional pop vocal album for “Higher” back in February and has now revealed on Instagram that he finally has the award in his hands.
In a video clip, Michael, who is currently touring, explained: “When you’re in Canada it sometimes takes a little longer to get here, but I wanted to be with you as I opened my Grammy, which just arrived.”
Michael then thanked his friends and family as he opened the package.
He said, “When I open it, rip it open … I just want to say a big thank you.”
“Thank you, God, my beautiful wife and children, my family, all my friends… all my wonderful co-authors, all the wonderful people — and most of all, I want to thank you.” [the fans].”
Michael admitted it felt “really good” to win the award.
When he opened the box, he said, “There it is.
“I mean, it’s not just about winning… but sometimes it feels really good! And many thanks to the Academy.”
Michael captioned the video: “I love what I do, who I do it with and most importantly, who I do it for. Thank you for supporting a small town Canadian kid who is making their dreams come true every day.” [heart emoji] @recordingacademy #higher #teamworkmakesthedreamwork (sic)”
Meanwhile, Michael previously revealed that he’s always trying to balance his work commitments with his family life.
The singer, who has Noah, nine, Elias, seven, Vida, four, and Cielo, nine months, with Luisana Lopilato told That Gaby Roslin Podcast, “My manager always says to me, ‘That’s not difficult.’ “Make the choices boy, it’s hard to live with the consequences of those choices. So can you live with the consequences, Mike? Putting your family first will hurt our careers in these countries, what do you think?”
“And of course it sucks for me because of course I’m telling you here I think about it all the time and I’m sitting in bed and I’m like, ‘Oh damn.'”
