Marie-Philip Poulin is off to a hot start in the PWHL

Canadian Olympic champion Marie-Philip Poulin from Beauceville, Quebec, is off to an excellent start in the 2024 Professional Women’s Hockey League. Within the first three weeks, Poulin was the PWHL First Star of the Week twice. She scored three goals in two games during the week of January 8-14. Poulin then scored three more goals in two games during the week of January 15-21.

The reason Poulin was honored for the week of January 8-14 was a hat trick on January 10. She scored three goals in Montreal’s 5-2 win over New York. Poulin was also a +3 with 10 shots on goal.

From January 15 to 21, Poulin scored the game-winning goal for Montreal in a 3-2 win over New York on January 16. With six minutes and 14 seconds left in the third period, Poulin scored from Maureen Murphy. Poulin then scored two goals in Montreal’s 4-3 loss to Toronto on January 20. In the two games, she was a +2 with 10 shots on goal, a game-winning goal and four penalty minutes.
