Lululemon enters into a five-year content and apparel partnership with Peloton

VANCOUVER – Lululemon Athletica Inc. announces it has entered into a five-year partnership with Peloton Interactive Inc.

The deal will make Vancouver-based Lululemon Peloton’s primary activewear partner, while New York-based Peloton will become Lululemon’s exclusive digital fitness content provider.

As part of the collaboration, some Peloton teachers will become Lululemon ambassadors, while Lululemon will sell co-branded clothing.

Subscribers to Lululemon’s digital services also receive access to different levels of Peloton digital classes depending on their payment tier.

The deal comes as Lululemon stops selling its digital fitness screen called Studio Mirror and ends its digital-only app membership.

Peloton, meanwhile, has hit a rocky patch that led to its founder stepping down as CEO last year. The company is working on rebranding as a health technology company.
